Two upcoming Dota 2 tournaments: news, tournament formats and much more

In the coming days, there will be two major Dota 2 tournaments. This is the seventh season of the BTS Pro Series and Dota 2 Champions League 2021. In this article, we will analyze the key points regarding these tournaments.

Bts pro series season 7

BTS Pro Series Season 7 Main Event: Southeast Asia (SEA) will bring together some of the region’s top teams to compete in high-quality Dota 2 competitions. A total of eight teams will participate in the tournament. Four of these teams were invited directly to the main event, while the other four were closed qualifiers. All Dota 2 matches Season 7 of BTS Pro: SEA begins August 2 and runs until August 15, 2021. The teams will compete in the group stage, after which their ranking will determine their place in the playoffs.

Where to watch the tournament?

Outside the Summit’s official Twitch channel, all episodes will be streamed live. Mike “MLPDotA” Le Phoenix and John “johnxfire” Nathan Fernandez are two English commentators who will provide the official comment at the time of this writing. As the tournament progresses, more commentator duets are likely to be featured.

In Season 7 of BTS Pro Series: SEA, all eight teams will compete for a share of the $ 50,000 prize pool. Prize pool breakdowns are not available at the time of this writing.

This will be the first time in a long time that T1 and Fnatic, the two SEA representatives at International 10 (TI10), will take part in a professional Dota 2 event. Fnatic played their last official series on July 3rd at TI10, while T1 at the last participated in ESL One Summer 2021 in June 2021.

Dota 2 fans will be watching to see if these two TI10 teams can continue to perform as well as they did in recent tournaments, or if other teams can upset.

Dota 2 Champions League 2021

During this competitive offseason, the 2021 Dota 2 Champions League is poised to provide fans with some action. This tournament runs from 19 July to 8 August 2021 and features some of the best Tier 2 teams in Europe and the CIS such as the Hellbear Smashers and AS Monaco Gambit. There were ten teams in total, but nine of them were invited, and one passed the open qualifier. There will be a total of $ 50,000 at stake, which will be split among ten teams. Half of the total prize pool, which is $ 25,000, will go to the winner.

All episodes will be streamed live on the official TEBtv Dota 2 Twitch channel. The talent for the English broadcast of this event has yet to be announced.

The Dota 2 Champions League 2021 is hosted by Epic Esports Events in cooperation with the Russian Cybersport Federation. This event will run for a total of five seasons. The total prize pool for all seasons will be $ 50,000.

Epic Esports Events hosted a tournament similar to this one in April 2021. The competition lasted over a week with 20 teams, where Team Spirit won the grand final after beating Vikin.gg 2-0.
