AMD Prepares for Release This Month – Ryzen 5 5500/5600 and Ryzen 7 5700X on Zen3 Architecture

According to a MEGAsizeGPU source, AMD is expected to release two more 6-core processors – Ryzen 5 5500 And Ryzen 5 5600. Although the clock speeds of both remain unknown, there is a big difference between them: the 5500 does not support SMT (simultaneous multi-threading) and therefore only has 6 threads. This CPU will cost less than the Intel Core i3-12100 processor, which is officially listed at $122. The 5600 without the X index, on the other hand, will cost less than the $192 i5-12400.

AMD is also preparing an 8-core and 16-thread processor known as Ryzen 7 5700X, this processor will cost less than the Core i5-12600KF (MSRP $264). Therefore, it will be offered along with Ryzen 7 5700G based on the “Cezanne” architecture, but with a more powerful Radeon Vega graphics subsystem, and fewer PCIe lanes and a smaller L3 cache.

A little later this month, the company will also release Ryzen 7 5800X3D with 96MB shared L3 cache. This Zen3 architecture push for desktop socket AM4 appears to be the last major update for the socket before AMD switches to AM5 and Ryzen 7000 Zen4 on “Raphael” architecture.
