While slightly more fantasy-like than Dark Souls veterans are used to, Elden Ring shares similar graphical iconography and style to previous FromSoftware titles. Hidetaka Miyazaki’s newest game seems to be designed specifically to evoke a sense of wanderlust along with a sense of awe and danger. Now, in an effort to explore what mysterious dangers this world holds, one fan artist has created an incredible cover that aims to pay homage to the Inter-Earth.
More than a decade since FromSoftware released the first Souls game, the company and its games still have a thriving player community and are likely to be around for years to come, thanks in part to Elden Ring.
Now paying homage to Elden Ring’s iconic art style, artist James Busema has transformed it into an amazing visual masterpiece that harks back to the origins of the fantasy genre. Creatively mimicking a book cover, attention to detail, and minimal yet bold use of color hues are just a few of the many elements that make it such an unusual homage to FromSoftware’s RPG.
After he shared the cover on Twitter, the post got almost 12k likes and many users and fans applauded James Buscema for his creative masterpiece.
Elden Ring is available on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S.
