An insider confirmed the development of a new Mass Effect on Unreal Engine 5

Since the announcement of the new part of Mass Effect from BioWare, there have been many rumors about changing the engine. Officially, the developers did not say anything about the future of the project, but hints of the abandonment of Frosbite were found in the vacancies of the studio. Today, one of the verified insiders confirmed that the game is being created exclusively on the latest version of Unreal Engine 5.

According to analyst and journalist Roberto Serrano, BioWare has done an incredible job on the initial development of the new engine. The studio has completely abandoned the old developments in Frosbite and is writing code from scratch. In addition, at some point, BioWare employees decided to refuse the help of DICE, so they replenished their staff with new employees.

At the moment it is known that the new Mass Effect is still in the early stages of development. The project does not have an estimated release date and target platforms, but most likely the game will definitely appear on the PC.
