The release date for the highly anticipated Obi-Wan Kenobi series on Disney Plus may have been revealed, according to a deleted tweet from a Disney executive.
Disney Plus executive Brandon San Giovanni mentioned a potential release date in a tweet that read: “Our very own Obi-Wan says hello to Disney+…May 2022.”
After the publication was noticed by fans, the tweet was deleted. San Giovanni’s Twitter account is currently in private mode.
Some fans are speculating that San Giovanni is referring to the new Marvel comic Obi-Wan, which also comes out in May. However, The Hollywood Reporter stated that the rumors were indeed true and that Obi-Wan Kenobi would make his debut in May.
This makes sense, given that Obi-Wan Kenobi’s release could fall on May 4th, a date that has become a real treat for Star Wars fans. It will also provide some breathing space for The Book of Boba Fett, which ends its run on February 9th.
