Causing a lot of confusion at the presentation stage, Babylon’s Fall is finally available on PC and PlayStation, which is also confirmed by the launch trailer published by Square-Enix and Platinum Games.
Unfortunately for the authors of NieR Automata and Astral Chain, it seems that the first attempt to create a game-service focused on the online multiplayer sector is not going well. At the time of writing, Babylon’s Fall only had 650 players at its peak. According to SteamDB, she is ranked 4894th in the number of players online on Steam of all time.
Babylon’s Fall has “mixed” reviews on Steam, but some of the rather aggressive opinions left by users are particularly vocal: “Feels like you’re playing a bad port of a PS2 game with microtransactions”, is, for example, what one player said, who apparently regretted that he decided to buy the game on the first day.
