Back 4 Blood developers are looking for an option to launch the game without an internet connection

Developer Turtle Rock is considering options that will allow Back 4 Blood players to go offline after launch.

Back 4 Blood Turtle Rock developer has confirmed that it will require a constant online connection to play, even if its campaign is played alone with a squad of AI-controlled teammates. Turtle Rock mentioned that it is currently exploring how offline mode can be applied to the game.

“We’re looking for ways to support offline in the future, but you’ll need an internet connection to play at launch,” the studio confirmed on Twitter.

The spiritual successor to Left 4 Dead, Back 4 Blood was once again in the spotlight at E3. The Xbox and Bethesda Showcase have confirmed that the game will be available on Xbox Game Pass when it releases on October 12, both for console and PC. Prior to that, Back 4 Blood Open Beta Launches in August on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X | S with cross play support.
