Batman: $57 million at the box office on its first day. It’s better than Batman Begins

The Batman movie got off to a solid start at the box office. The reboot of the franchise earned $57 million at the US box office on its first day. This is a better result than 2005’s Batman Begins ($48 million, excluding inflation).

The Batman is projected to make $120 million in the US in its opening weekend. This will be the fifth best March opening weekend in the US. It will also be the best first weekend of 2022, but obviously there will still be enough time for him to break this record.

Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice made $166 million in its opening weekend, so Batman is unlikely to repeat that success.
