Battlefield 2042 continues its evolutionary path and seems to be taking a big step forward. Update 4.0 will be released next week, bringing over 400 fixes and improvements to the game.
There is no exact release date yet, but the new 4.0 update for Battlefield 2042 should arrive within the next week, according to DICE’s Kevin Johnson. The update should bring more than 400 different additions and fixes to the military shooter, ranging from bug fixes to additions, especially in the area of ”quality of life” decisions for players.
Specialists Rao and Paik will receive a number of performance-enhancing changes, while Sundance will receive a number of fixes regarding the use of grenades and countermeasures specific to explosives. Update 4.0 will also change patches to be easier to unlock in different modes and rebalance command XP.
There will also be some changes to vehicles, especially the Bolte, but also many others, with adjustments to the control and aiming of the enemy. Update 4.0 will also be reworking weapon investment effects to make them more meaningful and unique, but these are just a few of the many items included in the new update.
Let’s hope this helps raise the status of the game, given that the number of concurrent players on Steam recently dropped below 1000 for the first time, which is not a good sign.
