Battlefield 2042 refund petition gets over 30,000 signatures

New petition for Battlefield 2042calling publisher EA open its refund policy, has already collected more than 30,000 signatures. The petition claims that the game cost consumers millions of dollars.

On the Change.org A new petition sent by EA, as well as Sony, Microsoft, Steam and the Federal Trade Commission, is asking the company and stores to expand their refund policy to reflect the current state of Battlefield 2042. The shooter is being compared to the disastrous launch of Cyberpunk 2077 in 2020 and players are pushing to have stores and EA offer a similar refund period as CD Projekt Red had for their game. The petition requires at least 50,000 signatures before the authors submit it to a class action lawyer.

Battlefield 2042 was released in November 2021 and received criticism from the media and fans. However, despite this, DICE and EA have recently announced that they will continue to support the game and bring it to the potential that fans have hoped for.

Originally scheduled for this month, Battlefield 2042’s next major update has been moved to March so the team can improve its quality.
