Blade movie could be an MCU prequel

The Blade movie from Marvel Studios will probably be a prequel to the MCU to answer the main mysteries. Unfortunately, details about Mahershala Ali’s Blade solo film have been scarce since the project was first announced in 2019. The director of the film is Bassam Tariq, and the script was developed by Stacy Osei-Kuffour. Plot details have yet to be revealed.

Viewers are probably more curious than ever to see the character in the MCU after his sudden appearance – or rather off-screen dialogue. We are talking about the scene after the credits of “The Eternals”. The voice acting has raised several questions about the character’s history in the MCU, leading to an impressive amount of speculation about what exactly the solo movie will contain.

From the moment Mahershala Ali was cast as Blade, fans wondering where the vampire hunter has been in the MCU’s long history. He played no role during the most epic events and only appears now, as Phase 4 begins. His role in the post-credits episode of The Eternals confirms that he is already active now. This makes his absence from Marvel’s last decade puzzling.

There is likely a real explanation that the MCU had no plans to use the character before Mahershala Ali expressed his interest in the role. Now that Eric Brooks is joining the MCU, Marvel must somehow provide an explanation for his role, answering the question of why Blade didn’t show up earlier and help with any of the larger threats like Loki’s invasion or Thanos’ aggression.
