Blizzard shut down Overwatch servers

On the last day of the “life” of the game, fans staged a farewell event.

Overwatch closed on October 2nd to resurrect as a sequel on October 4th. Overwatch will be shareware, ditching the loot box model in favor of a battle pass system, and offering content from the first game paired with new heroes, maps, and modes. The shooter will be released on PlayStation, Xbox, Switch and PC with crossplay support.

On the last day of the servers of the original game, gamers arranged a farewell: they actively streamed Overwatch, published farewell posts and postcards on social networks, and in the game itself, many did not fight, but wandered around the maps, chatted and took screenshots as a keepsake.
