Chip ‘n Dale Rescue Rangers trailer released

The animated series “Chip and Dale Rescue Rangers” was an integral part of the programs Disney late 80s and early 90s, and in our country it was shown in 1990. And I just now found out that we were shown only 52 episodes out of 65, and the remaining episodes were first shown only in 2004 and with a different voice acting. But I digress, in the animated series, the venerable Disney chipmunks, along with the mouse inventor Gadget, ROkfor and Vzhik founded a detective agency that helps those in need. Now the popular animated series is getting an inevitable resurgence in the form of a new live-action animated film coming to Disney+.

The trailer for the movie is here, and it suggests that this isn’t so much a reboot of the franchise as it is a sequel to it. Chip and Dale are long past their days as TV stars and are trying to find happiness decades after the show’s cancellation. Somehow they get involved in a real adventure. Take a look:

In Chip ‘n’ Dale Rescue Rangers, Chip and Dale live among cartoons and people in present-day Los Angeles, but their lives are now very different. Decades have passed since their successful television series was cancelled, and Chip has resigned himself to living in the suburbs as an insurance salesman. Dale, meanwhile, has had CGI surgery and works at nostalgic conventions, desperate to relive his glory days. When a former teammate mysteriously disappears, Chip and Dale must mend their shattered friendship and once again take on the role of lifeguards to save their friend’s life.

Chip ‘n Dale: Rescue Rangers premieres on Disney+ on May 20;
