Famous game designer Chris Avellone, who took part in the creation of Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic II, Neverwinter Nights 2 and other RPGs, decided to recall the Fallout series and the stages of its production in his personal blog. The developer first spoke about the current composition of the Obsidian Entertainment studio, with which he worked together on Fallout: New Vegas.
According to Avellone, the studio currently employs only 20 employees from the cult line-up of Obsidian Entertainment. For a modern studio size, this number may seem insignificant, but all of these developers occupy key positions. It was they who made important decisions in the development of Fallout: New Vegas, so you don’t have to worry about future projects of the studio, according to Chris Avellone.
In addition, Avellone commented on the rumors about Fallout: New Vegas 2. According to the creator of the original game, he knows nothing about the sequel. He is convinced that Obsidian is only engaged in projects that are interesting for the developers themselves, and so far no one has forced them to make a sequel.
