Cities: Skylines has sold 12 million copies

The developers have released a trailer in which they expressed their gratitude for the support of all the players.

Cities: Skylines, a city builder developed by Colossal Order and published by Paradox Interactive, has sold over 12 million copies across all platforms since its release in 2015.

To this day, one of the best projects in its genre, the simulator is constantly evolving and continues to attract more and more new players due to the continuous expansion of gameplay options and the emergence of new settings.

Since the launch of the game, the team has been continuously working on improving the gameplay experience. Colossal Order released 13 expansion packs, over ten radios and packs. According to the developers, user modifications have become one of the most important parts of the game – Cities: Skylines owes its continuous development and the emergence of new unexpected features to one of the most active communities in the world.

“We’re grateful for the high engagement of the Cities: Skylines player community, and we’re thrilled to see them sharing their love for the city-building genre with us,” said Mariina Hallikainen, CEO of Colossal Order. “Our dream became a reality as we saw the game attract more and more fans over the years. We will continue to listen to feedback and intend to work hard to bring even more joy to our players in the future.”

Cities: Skylines debuted on consoles in 2017, with a birthday patch for the game on Xbox One and PlayStation released today.
