Co-op open-world shooter Redfall Coming to Xbox and PC in 2022

Microsoft has closed the Xbox / Bethesda E3 2021 presentation with a brand new game from Arkane, the studio behind Dishonored and Prey. The game is called Redfall and will be released exclusively on Xbox in 2022.

Billed as a cooperative open-world shooter, Redfall portrays players as a motley team of heroes fighting to fend off a legion of vampires. The opening trailer was reminiscent of Left 4 Dead and Back 4 Blood, showing how different characters work together to destroy supernatural enemies.

According to the official Redfall website, the game “is a seamless blend of single and multiplayer modes.” You can play alone or with a team of three other players. The vampires laying siege to the city are the result of a failed scientific experiment, and you will have to fight various mutations, as well as the human cultists who support them.

The game is being created in collaboration with Evan Narcisse, a former current game journalist and comic book author who created Rise of the Blank Panther.

Redfall slated to release exclusively for Xbox Series X | S and PC in the summer of 2022. Like other first-person games, the game will also be available on Xbox Game Pass on Day 1.
