The highly anticipated Cyberpunk 2077 version 1.5 update is finally here, bringing next-gen updates to PS5 and Xbox Series X/S, as well as FSR, VRS, and improved ray tracing on PC. However, it’s rare these days for a major patch to bring its own set of issues, and Cyberpunk 2077 1.5 is no exception. According to player reports, the 1.5 update is causing new crashes on PC, among other things. CDPR has indicated that they are aware of these issues and have even released a temporary workaround for what appears to be one of the more common PC crash issues.
- Game crashes on launch on PC (related to audio software). Please check the potential workaround below.
The crash is most likely caused by an audio software conflict. So far we have identified this issue with audio drivers like A-Volute, Nahimic or Sonic Studio. We are currently investigating. Meanwhile, as a temporary solution, we recommend disabling said drivers before launching the game.
If the above fix does not solve your problems, CDPR has a more general article on Cyberpunk 2077 PC crashes.
CDPR is also looking into a couple more issues, the PS4/PS5 trophy transfer and the 60 FPS boost on Xbox Series S.
Cyberpunk 2077 is available on PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, PS5 and Stadia.
