Beginning June 15, play Tunic, Lake, Sable, and more exclusively on Xbox consoles.
Following the success of last year’s Xbox Summer Game Fest showcase, Microsoft is partnering with Summer Game Fest again to showcase over 40 games next week exclusively for Xbox One and Xbox Series X | S starting June 15th. Many major indie games like Tunic, Lake, Sable and others will be available for smaller games ahead of their respective launches.
The Xbox Wire post highlights that these demos are not like many you can find on the Xbox store today. Instead, they should be presenting something like the demo you usually find at E3; short vertical slices that give you a good idea of the game, but still may be far from what the final product is. Some of the games that have received demos may be close to release, while others may be released in a few months or years, so it’s good to keep that in mind.
However, there are some great titles coming up next week. The release date for Sable, the immersive desert adventure, was announced at the kickoff presentation for Summer Game Fest, but you can try it next week. Tunic, a Zelda-style adventure, will also be present, as well as the narrative Lake adventure, the base-building Riftbreaker survival game, the Echo Generation turn-based adventure game, and more. Microsoft says it will release a complete list soon.
These demos will only be available for a week, although there is a hint in the post that some developers may want to support them longer. In any case, it would be best to get to the ones that interest you the most as soon as possible.
