New analytics has revealed that Elden Ring has become the third most played game on Twitch.TV in recent history, despite just being released.
Less than 24 hours after release, Elden Ring broke several records, including breaking FromSoftware’s peak game views on Twitch and becoming the third best debut on Twitch of all time.
FromSoftware developers continue to break records as new analytics in Gamesight’s press release have revealed that Elden Ring is the third most played game on Twitch in recent history. With nearly 900,000 views upon release, the game lags a bit behind the top rated Lost Ark and Cyberpunk 2077, but completely dominates every new release on the platform over the past few years, including all of the developer’s previous titles.
Elden Ring was watched by almost 20 million hours on its first day, and in the days and months to come, it could become one of the most played games on Twitch of all time:
Also, it’s theoretically possible that these analytics could have been higher if the PC version of the game hadn’t held it back. Upon release, Elden Ring reached over 600,000 players on Steam, but soon ran into angry players who viewed the game on Steam, mostly due to stutter issues, frame rate drops, and apparent crashes, even on high end PCs. Elden Ring now has “mixed” reviews on Steam despite being one of the highest rated games of all time, with over 40% of reviews on the platform negative.
