Fallout: New Vegas game designer: game developers refuse to return to offices and prefer to work remotely

Josh Sawyer, game designer and head of development for Fallout: New Vegas, shared interesting details from the inner “kitchen” of game developers. As it turned out, after quarantine restrictions, many employees are accustomed to remote work and do not seek to return to their offices, although companies are forcing them to do so.

According to Sawyer, many studios now force their employees to come to offices and work only there. Employees do not like this idea, especially since “moving” to the office requires solving regular organizational issues and imposes a number of restrictions.

More experienced developers simply refused to return to the office and began to leave en masse in search of more “flexible” employers.
