Earlier this year, Krafton switched PUBG: Battlegrounds to a free distribution model. One of the very first games in the “royal battle” genre became available to everyone on any platform. At first, the new version of the game encountered technical difficulties, but showed a significant increase in active players. At the moment, the developers have managed to eliminate critical errors, but the audience of the project is rapidly falling down.
If in the first days after the release of the free version of PUBG: Battlegrounds, the peak online reached 700 thousand users, today their number is hardly reaches marks of 300 thousand. Game analysts have noticed that the game is seeing a steady churn of players. For almost two weeks, the fall in the audience on the weekend was 13%.
The rating of the shooter on Steam also leaves much to be desired. Right now PUBG: Battlegrounds has only 55% positive reviews.
