Fully Russian server on Elbrus presented

The Russian company Depo Computers presented a completely domestic Depo Storm 3450E3RU server. It is based on a pair of 28-nm eight-core Elbrus-8SV processors operating at clock frequencies up to 1.5 GHz.

It should be noted right away that these processors are not produced in Russia, but at the Taiwanese factories of TSMC, which, due to sanctions, stopped shipments of Elbrus at the end of February. Accordingly, Depo Storm 3450E3RU will be able to release exactly as much as is now left in the warehouses of Russian processors.

The server accepts twelve NL-SAS/SAS drives in either 3.5″ or 2.5″ form factor. At the rear of the case, there is a separate cage for two 2.5-inch hot-swap SATA drives. There are two 800W power supplies each.

For graphics processing, a built-in Aspeed AST2500 module was provided. The motherboard has eight slots for DDR4 ECC RAM.
