Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga is the biggest Lego or Star Wars game launch on Steam

Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga came out in Steam only a few hours ago, but has already become the biggest game of the franchise Lego or Star Wars in platform history valve. FROM 82 517 by concurrent players at the time of this writing (according to SteamDB) it has reached the current list of the top 10 games on Steam, and this number of players absolutely dwarfs any Lego or Star Wars game that came before it.

The previous largest Star Wars game on Steam by concurrent players was Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Orderwhich has reached 46,550 players at launch in 2019. The only other games to break the 10,000 mark are Squadrons, The Old Republic and modern Battlefront II. But there is an important clarification here: until 2019, EA released all of its games on PC (and therefore all of its Star Wars games) exclusively for origin.

But the gap is even wider in the Lego franchise of games, which were released directly on Steam. The next biggest Lego game on Steam is Lego Marvel Super Heroeswhich was played at the same time 5 953 player in 2014, a few months after launch. So The Skywalker Saga has about 14 times more players at its peak than any previous Lego game on Steam.
