capcom spoke through her social networks about the updates of the new generation Resident Evil 2, Resident Evil 3 And Resident Evil 7 Biohazardproviding new details on save transfers and free upgrade methods.

Following the confirmation of the RE2, RE3, and RE7 Biohazard update for PS5 and Xbox Series X/S, which will bring support for the latest features such as ray tracing and 3D audio, Capcom has provided more information on the updates and the ability to carry over saves.

Game progress received in the current version can actually be transferred to the next generation versions, from PS4 to PS5 and from Xbox One to Xbox Series X / S, within their own ecosystem. The publisher then confirmed that the update would be completely free, without the need to pay any additional fee. In addition to the base games, transfers will also apply to all DLCs, both digital and physical: however, disc versions will receive a digital update that can be downloaded directly from the console.

Finally, Capcom has clarified that there are no physical release plans for next-gen versions of the games at this time.
