The new Little Devil Inside short game trailer gives you some insight into the missions you’ll be taking on, the locations you’ll visit, and the hostile forces you’ll have to fight against.
State of Play’s October super-fast launch showcased several new games coming to Sony PlayStation platforms, and culminated in a fresh take on the upcoming open-world RPG Little Devil Inside. With the help of a storyteller, the new trailer gave some insight into what the game will be like as you play Billy, trying to complete tasks and stay alive in a strange, sometimes hostile world.
In addition to seeing part of the mission in which Billy heads to the creepy mansion to complete the job, we also quickly covered survival elements like cooking and the locations you’ll visit for missions, including the desert and open ocean.
Check out the trailer below.
While survival is one aspect of Little Devil Inside, it looks like it doesn’t feel like a traditional survival game. The focus is on travel and survival while you are there on your mission, rather than staying alive for as long as possible in a hostile environment. In addition to some of the locations, the trailers also give you an idea of how you will move around the world map, which will include meetings – in this case, a flock of sheep blocking the way.
You will also encounter various characters along the way in a casual RPG game, some of whom will sell you items or help you, while others seem to have more sinister plans. The trailer also gives a very quick look at the fight: Billy uses his sword to take out enemies and impale them to turn them into weapons that he can use against the hordes.
Combined with Little Devil Inside’s cute art style, the entire trailer evokes an eerie foreboding. As bright and lighthearted as it sounds, the trailer shows that there is definitely a supernatural darkness hidden in the game, and we will have to wait and see how it manifests itself. Unfortunately, State of Play does not have an official release date for Little Devil Inside, but we do know that the game will be released on PlayStation 4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X | S and Nintendo Switch.
