Quantic Dream responds to Star Wars Eclipse delay rumors


According to the latest rumors released by insider Tom Henderson, who has proven to be reliable in the past, the development Star Wars Eclipse not progressing well, but Quantic Dream there were some problems with the recruitment of staff.

Henderson said before launch Star Wars: Eclipse still far away, and now the team expects to release the project only around 2027-2028. Quantic Dream became aware of the rumors and commented on the story via an email sent to the Gamesradar editors. However, a spokesperson for the French studio gave a somewhat vague response that just reminds us that an official launch date for the game has never been given.

“Star Wars Eclipse was not delayed because Quantic Dream never announced the game’s launch window,” a spokesperson said. “Recruitment continues as the company works on Star Wars Eclipse, third-party publications and unannounced projects.”

What we know for sure is that Quantic Dream is working on three different projects and that the developer has actually increased its workforce by 50% during 2021.

Star Wars: Eclipse was announced at The Game Awards 2021. Little is known about the game at the moment, but Quantic Dream describes it as “complex branching adventure game”, which takes place during the era of the High Republic. The studio also reported that its “can be experienced in many ways and puts the fates of several playable characters in your hands“.
