As part of the Ubisoft Forward Briefing at E3 2021, the publisher has released a new cinematic trailer for Rainbow Six Extraction, the next entry in the hit TV series Tom Clancy. Moreover, Ubisoft has confirmed the release date of the game: September 16, 2021.
The trailer featured several different Operator characters and revealed part of the story that follows the alien invasion. San Francisco is awash with these monsters and you must put an end to the attacks.
Extraction will feature a number of familiar Operators, each with their own unique skill set. Operators captured by aliens must first be rescued before they can be used.
Ubisoft has confirmed that Rainbow Six Extraction will support cross-play and that players on different console generations can also play together.
Ubisoft also showed gameplay and discussed how some of the gadgets and abilities in Extraction will be familiar to Rainbow Six players. However, not everything has been redesigned, since Extraction will offer new weapons for fighting alien creatures.
Extraction has some soul-like qualities in the sense that progress will be lost due to failed missions. As for the plot, Ubisoft stated that the parasite that caused the alien outbreak was discovered in New Mexico and then spread throughout the world, continuing to evolve, making it difficult to eradicate.
Extraction Released September 16 For PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X | S and PC. There is both a single player and multiplayer.
Anyone who already owns Rainbow Six Siege and purchases Extraction will receive a full set of 18 Siege Operators, as well as the United Front Cosmetic Pack (for both games) at no additional cost.
Originally announced back in 2019, Extraction was originally in development under the name Rainbow Six Quarantine. “We’ve taken the solid foundations of Rainbow Six Siege and created a modern tactical co-op shooter in which you face an ever-evolving alien threat,” said Patrik Methé, creative director of Rainbow Six Extraction, in a video announcing the game’s new title. … “You and your team will decide when to move forward and when to retreat.”
