Ubisoft announced that both cross-play and cross-progression will appear in Rainbow Six Siege. Starting June 30, PC, Stadia and Luna players will be able to transfer their progress between the three systems with the ability to cross-play between platforms on the same account. By early 2022, crossplay will be available between PlayStation and Xbox, although the two consoles will still not be able to work with consoles on PC.
The announcement comes as part of the Ubisoft Forward Conference at E3 and follows a new cinematic trailer for Rainbow Six’s next game, Rainbow Six Extraction. However, while a new Rainbow Six game is in development, we can safely assume that Ubisoft is fully committed to supporting its 200,000 simultaneous Siege players, especially since it has just unveiled the all-new Siege Operator, Thunderbird.
