Based on Lee Child’s book The Killing Floor, the first season of the series launched on February 4 and quickly climbed to the top of the Prime Video streaming service charts. In just one day, the show became one of the most successful in Prime Video’s history, ranking among the top five most watched series worldwide.
In her announcement about the series’ renewal, Amazon Studios CEO Jennifer Salke explained why she thinks the show has resonated with so many viewers:
