Remedy, with the support of Rockstar Games, will release remakes of Max Payne and Max Payne 2


The authors of Alan Wake, Control and Quantum Break are going to return to their roots. Developers from Remedy Entertainment announced on a partnership with Rockstar Games to give players full remakes Max Payne and Max Payne 2: The Fall of Max Payne.

We were thrilled when our longtime friends at Remedy suggested that we update the original Max Payne games. We’re big fans of the projects that the Remedy team has built over the years and we can’t wait to play the new versions of Max Payne in person.

Max Payne has always held a special place in the hearts of all Remedy employees, and we know millions of fans around the world feel the same way. We’re thrilled to be working with our partners at Rockstar Games once again to provide players with an opportunity to re-experience the story, action, and atmosphere of the original Max Payne games.

It is reported that the updated versions of Max Payne and Max Payne 2: The Fall of Max Payne will be released as one single project. Players will receive two games in one package at once. Used for remakes new version of Northlight Engine with a focus on the next generation of consoles.

A release date for the remakes has not been announced. For many, the announcement was so unexpected that users collapsed the official Remedy website.

It is known that the games will visit PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X.
