Lollipop Chainsaw and Shadows of the Damned – one of the projects under development in Grasshopper Manufacture. More precisely, the studio Suda51 is working on five games, and two of them are related to the aforementioned PS3/Xbox 360-era titles. At least that’s what a new rumor claims NetEase, after acquiring the studio, began restoring the copyrights to various franchises so that Suda and his team could return to work on them.
The source of the rumor does not specify whether it is about new chapters or remastered versions, most likely it is about remasters because this is the safest, and less costly, option for a new publisher. And there, who knows, if the remasters sell well, then maybe we will see a full-fledged sequel.
Of the two games, the one starring Juliet Starling was the most successful but was never followed up. Shadows of the Damned was not as well received by the public (it sold just under 35,000 copies in a week in the US and Japan), but still can count on a large number of fans thanks to its crazy content and hellish setting.
