Developers from Double Fine Productions have announced that Psychonauts 2 has finally received a new language version – Russian subtitles and text. In December 2021, the developers posted an announcement on social media, announcing that new languages would be available in early 2022. However, apparently, it took a little longer to translate and add it to the game, since 5 months have already passed since the beginning of the year. The 5 GB update is available on Xbox and Windows 10.
At launch, Psychonauts 2 only officially supported a few languages, including French, Italian, German, Spanish, and Portuguese. This upset many fans from other regions, and the game even received some negative reviews on Steam and Metacritic from players unable to experience Raz’s final journey due to the language barrier.
Psychonauts 2 is currently available on PC, Xbox, PlayStation and Game Pass.
