Sci-fi writer Hayley Stone joins development of The Outer Worlds 2


Obsidian Entertainment involved in the development The Outer Worlds 2 award-winning science fiction writer Hayley Stone.

Stone herself revealed this to the general public in a post posted on Twitter to inform all of her followers about it.

I’m happy to announce that I’m joining Obsidian as an Associate Narrative Designer on The Outer Worlds 2! I really enjoyed the first game and am looking forward to working with the amazing creative team on the sequel!.

Hayley Stone’s entry into the Obsidian writing team allows the subsidiary to Xbox Game Studios Gain the experience and talent of one of the most highly acclaimed and award-winning science fiction and fantasy authors. Stone’s writings include Last Resistance and the iconic Make Me No Grave, as well as many short sci-fi essays published in Apex Magazine, Fireside Fiction and other genre anthologies.

Pending more information on the development of Microsoft’s new space opera for PC and Xbox Series X/S, Obsidian is working with Unreal Engine 5 for both The Outer Worlds 2 and the upcoming fantasy RPG. Avowed.
