Assassin’s Creed Valhalla’s second expansion, The Siege of Paris, was detailed during Ubisoft’s live stream at E3 2021 Forward on June 12. It takes players to France a few years after the main events of the game.
During the live stream, Ubisoft announced that the expansion will return black box missions. First introduced in Assassin’s Creed Unity, these missions challenge players to complete a specific objective (such as killing a target), but then release the player, allowing them to figure out how to reach the goal for themselves.
Assassin’s Creed Syndicate had similar mission types. However, they were dropped in Assassin’s Creed Origins and have not returned since.
The presentation also hinted at additional expansions for Valhalla after The Siege of Paris, with one dedicated to Odin, scheduled for release later this year.
The Siege of Paris, along with Wrath of the Druids, are included in the $ 40 Assassin’s Creed Valhalla Season Pass. Available on PC, PS4, PS5, Stadia, Xbox One and Xbox Series X | S, the Season Pass also includes the bonus mission The Legend of Beowulf.
