PlayStation recently held an investor meeting where the Japanese gaming giant talked about its immediate plans for game releases, expansion plans and more. The company predicts that this fiscal year ending March 31, 2023, it will generate $300 million in revenue (more than three times last year) from PC releases alone.
PlayStation is making significant strides in porting some of its most prized IPs to PC, with Sony raking in a total of $80 million in fiscal year 21 thanks to the commercially successful ports of Days Gone and God of War. These two ports will, of course, continue to be sold in the coming months, as well as the release of the Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves compilation on PC.
Sony also disclosed its plans to release two yet-to-be-announced game-services this fiscal year, so it’s possible that the two games could be cross-platform releases to meet the company’s revenue projections. Of course, it’s possible that more unannounced PlayStation ports are planned for release this year, but until there’s official confirmation, it’s best to keep expectations under control.
