Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, the new action game from EA and Respawn Entertainment, has finally been officially unveiled. There’s still a lot to learn about this Fallen Order sequel, but director Stig Asmussen said there could be some new additions to the game that were cut from Fallen Order.
Specifically, Asmussen was asked when the team started thinking about Star Wars Jedi: Survivor. He explained that Respawn had actually already started work on Survivor even before Fallen Order was completed. He explains that there isa lot of things we put off” and what “we knew we wanted to postpone“.
Asmussen also gives several examples: there can be more postures and movements in combat. But also in terms of storytelling, there will be news related to how Cal and his team develop. Also, the team has some ideas on how to approach the game world and levels. The goal of Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is to expand them and make them more “bright”.
It is then explained that the duo of Cal and BD-1 or the main character and his robot will still be important going forward. Asmussen certainly doesn’t want to spoil Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, but says the team isn’t just thinking about Cal when they introduce the game’s protagonist, but thinking about Cal and BD-1 together.
