Steam Deck Gets Windows Support With Official Drivers Available For Download

Steam Deckdespite some shortcomings, is an impressively powerful portable device from valve. One of the most important benefits is the ability to switch the operating system of the console from Steam OS (default and Linux based) on Windows for a smoother gaming experience, although drivers for the latter of these operating systems were not available at launch.

However, fans can now download official Windows drivers for GPU, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and audio drivers for use on Steam Deck. It’s worth noting here that Steam Deck currently only supports Windows 10and support Windows 11 will be added in the near future with a BIOS update that includes fTPM.

Also, using both operating systems via dual boot doesn’t work either, but support will come in SteamOS version 3.
