Although more than two months have passed since the presentation of the new Ryzen 6000 mobile chips, the corresponding laptops have not yet appeared on sale, you still have to be content with fragmentary information about the performance of new products. Of particular interest is the speed of the graphics subsystem, because finally the Vega architecture was replaced by RDNA 2, namely the iGPU Radeon 660M and Radeon 680M. Previously, summaries from several mini-reviews have already been published, now there are performance data in the Cyberpunk 2077 game.
The AMD APU Gaming channel posted a video testing an ASUS TUF GAMING F17 laptop equipped with an AMD Ryzen 7 6800H processor. This CPU has integrated Radeon 680M graphics with 12 compute units (768 stream processors), 12 RA units for ray tracing. The laptop also has a GeForce RTX 3050 on board, but it was disabled for the duration of the tests.
In short, the Radeon 680M can be called the killer of entry-level discrete graphics cards. Without cheats in the form of FSR technology, the Radeon 680M can’t handle Cyberpunk 2077 at 1080p and medium-high graphics settings. Activating FSR with the Ultra Quality preset already provides 30-40 frames per second. With active tracing, of course, unplayable, no FSR settings help.
