The performers of the roles of Spider-Man and the Green Goblin got into the Guinness Book of Records. Since the release of Spider-Man: No Way Home, Tobey Maguire and Willem Dafoe have become the longest-serving actors in the Marvel comics.
The previous record was held by Patrick Stewart and Hugh Jackman for playing Charles Xavier and Logan in the X-Men films for 16 years and 232 days. The latest record set by Maguire and Dafoe is 19 years and 225 days, which is exactly how long it has been since the first Spider-Man movie they both starred in.
The fact that Maguire and Dafoe had meaningful roles in the MCU triquel, and not just cameos, makes this award all the more special. That the two seamlessly fit into No Way Home’s massive storyline also served as the perfect homage to the characters, resulting in an unforgettable experience for fans.
The Tobey Maguire and Willem Dafoe award is yet another testament to the impressive success of No Way Home. It’s great to see this couple gaining such recognition, especially since it all started with the 2002 Spider-Man movie.
Spider-Man: No Way Home is in theaters around the world.
