Developer Sharkmob has revealed that he is working on a new battle royale set in the Vampire the Masquerade universe.
Developer Sharkmob announced Vampire The Masquerade: Bloodhunt at the start of Summer Game Fest. The upcoming third-person battle royale takes place in Prague – a cinematic trailer showcasing what some of these classes might look like, with different vampires with unique abilities.
Bloodhunt is set to use fully customizable characters with six different classes to choose from. The developer wrote on his website that he does not believe in the pay-to-win mechanic and is working on this project with a “player-centered mentality”.
In Bloodhunt, treacherous betrayal led to an all-out war between the various vampire clans. At the same time, all the vampire clans are being hunted down by a secret society known as the Entity, an organization that tries to completely destroy all creatures of the night.
Ahead of the release of Bloodhunt on July 22nd, there is a closed alpha version. The game is slated to release on PC sometime this year.
Sharkmob is the new studio for the Vampire: The Masquerade universe. The studio was acquired by Tencent in 2019 with the aim of creating new projects for the company.
