Xbox Game Pass users get D&D: Dark Alliance on Day 1

Developer Tuque Games has announced that the new Dungeons and Dragons game Dark Alliance will be released on Xbox Game Pass on its first day.

Jeff Hattem, head of the studio and creative director of the game, announced this in a press release. When the game releases June 22, Dark Alliance will be available in Game Pass on Xbox One, Xbox Series X | S and PC, as well as through the cloud for phones and tablets. There is cross-platform play support for PCs and consoles, Hattem says.

Dark Alliance will also be available for direct purchase on Xbox and PC, as well as PlayStation. Those who buy the game on PS4 will receive a free upgrade to PS5, and this process happens automatically without a code on Xbox via Smart Delivery.

While you’ll have to wait a bit to play Dark Alliance, Tuque Games stated that it still has “much more” to show in the game. To this end, Tuque Games hosts live streams every Friday prior to launch, where the developers play and discuss the game. You can watch these streams on Twitch and YouTube every Friday from 10:00 p.m. ET.

Set in the FORGOTTEN REALMS, Dark Alliance features real-time combat and co-op modes. Players will take on the roles of Drizzt Do’Urden, Catti-brie, Bruenor, and Wulfgar, battling D&D foes such as ice giants, beholders, and white dragons.
